Come out to Clarington to join us once again for the 3rd annual
Winter Thaw. Come for some good food and drinks. And meet some new
faces as well as old ones.
This year's event will celebrate the original Whiskey Jack
Trivia Series which is being archived after 4 successful years. It
will also be the launch of the new Whiskey Jack trivia Series 2.0.
Bigger and Better will be the theme with new caches and new trivia.
Thats why we have nicknamed this year's edition "Brain Freeze". Put
your thinking cap on as you will need it with some of them. Of
course you will be able to log all the new trivia caches. They will
be published around the time of the event.
On Friday March 7th at 11:59pm or so, the 11 new caches will
be published. Anyone coming to Clarington on the 8th to hunt for
these new caches will need to run a PQ, print out the cache pages
or write it down with a pen and paper. So this will mean all the
caches will be loggable and get you a smiley.
Unlike previous years, we (Sweety & I) will not be standing
in a lonely park all day handing out information for the caches. We
will be in the area at some point during the day so we might run
into a group of cachers somewhere. And then we will defiantly be at
the pub at 5pm to meet and greet every arriving.

Hanc's in Bowmanville. Once again Hanc's is welcoming us back. Its
located on Hwy 2 right downtown at N43 54.672 W078 41.182. Plenty
of parking around back. They have your great pub type food and the
prices are average. They will have something for everyone on the
menu.

Due to last years overwhelming attendance at the pub we have
been forced to put a limit on the number of seats available this
year. We will be limited to 80 seats. Last year we crammed 106 in
and we were well passed fire code. So when you are logging an
attend, please indicate how many in your party/group. Thank
