Gnome sweet Gnome Traditional Cache
dogRubygirl: This is the 3rd of a series in which the gnomes have been murdered or kidnapped since they were originally placed prior to the trail being developed. I'm closing this cache until I can find a suitable area to replace the caches.

We were out hiking a new trail for us with our famous dogRubygirl on a cool and misty morning when we saw a small creature flinting by in the forest. Rubygirl took up the chase and we followed. We ended up in a small glen which seemed quite mystical. We found a small creature dressed in gnome clothing and determined that this must be his habitat. We carefully studied his habitat and behaviors for some time, before recording the location with our GPS. We quietly backed out and continued with our hike. It wasn’t too long before we found evidence of 2 other gnome locations along the way. We were excited by our discovery and decided to share our secret with other Geocachers whom we knew would respect and preserve the gnome ‘s habitat.
The gnomes seem to be friendly and peaceful but reclusive and shy, enjoying the solitude of their forest homes. Please treat them carefully, they have given us permission for visitors to sign their guest book.
We are continuing to search for more gnome homes along the trail, if we find more we will (with their permission) publish the location. If anyone else finds a location , please let us now.
To find all three habitats will require a 2 mile round trip easy walk on a flat trail from the parking co-ordinates off Missouri Flat and Old Depot (turn at the windmill). Please bring your own pen to sign the guestbook at the habitat.
