The highest cache in the Flinders Ranges!
Located within metres of St. Marys peak, this cache is at the end of a serious long hike.
No visit to Wilpena is complete without a hike to one of the lookouts and this is the best. It's a long hot walk, even on a mild day and at least 2.5 litres of water, hat, sunscreen, first aid kit are needed for some small degree of comfort.
On a hot day don't bother.
However, in the middle of winter it can be dangerously cold and snow is known so please check the weather.
According to the GPS it was a 8km trip and about 650m of climb taking 3 hours just to the top. The return is easier but more chance of slipping etc.
Cache is bright blue ammo can hidden out of sight in a person sized gap between the rocks.
