Fly Like An Eagle Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Greenback: I think it's time to bid this cache a fond farewell. It's been fun but fewer than 1% out of 150+ finders gave it a favorite point so clearly it's not worthy of replacing again.

Thanks for visiting.

Geocache Description:

This is a two stage cache where the location is all about CLOW International Airport.

Stage one takes you to the parking lot of the Illinois Aviation Museum - Bolingbrook where no matter the time of day or day of the year you'll see a historic fighter jet and where you can hang out and watch planes taking off and landing. If you're really adventurous this is the place to learn to fly.

Stage two takes you to a location where you can park and watch the planes from the comfort of your car.

How to find the cache:
At the posted coordinates you need to locate the three digit number on the nose of the fighter jet. You'll be adding this number to the north and west coordinates listed below with the three digit number being in seconds (to the right of the decimal place). The difficulty can increase if they've moved the fighter, sometimes it's over by the museum (if anyone happens to grab coordinates where they find the fighter please let me know or post them.)

N41 41.103 +.XXX
W88 06.835 +.XXX

Remember, this cache is about the location. The final cache is a silver Bison tube. I hope you'll enjoy this area, I found it really enjoyable to sit in the observation area and listen to the tower and watch the planes come and go.
