Belvedere Makallè

Uscendo da Bellagio, in direzione del Ghisallo,  la strada incomincia a salire,     
(chiaramente si può salire da Asso-Canzo scollinare al Ghisallo e scendere verso Bellagio) seguendo la valle del torrente Peno, un tempo caratterizzata dalla presenza di alcuni mulini. Dopo una serie di tornanti, s'incontra la deviazione per Chevrio.
Da qui, per una strada sterrata (km. 1,5) si giunge al Belvedere  Macallè a  mt 630 slm, punto di osservazione panoramico con splendida vista su Bellagio, il Centro Lago e parte dei due rami. Vi suggerisco di parcheggiare in zona Baita Belvedere oppure un po’ più avanti però la strada sterrata si restringe un pò, (non ho potuto assaporare le specialità della trattoria in quanto chiusa fino al 29-02-2008). Potrebbero  esserci difficoltà di parcheggio nella bella stagione.  Il cache ( vedi foto) è a 300 mt  più avanti in un muretto di contenimento del terreno a monte ( vedi spoiler) nascosto da alcune pietre. Il GPS riceve pochi satelliti le coordinate potrebbero essere poco precise. C’è un sentiero che parte dalla trattoria e in un quarto d’ora porta alla cima del monte Garnasca 700 mt.    Buona passeggiata  e buon cache.
   

Leaving Bellagio, in the direction of the Ghisallo, the road begins to rise,
(clearly you can go up by Asso-Canzo scollinare to Ghisallo and get to Bellagio) following the valley of the river Peno, a time characterized by the presence of some mills. After a series of bends, comes the turnoff for Chevrio.
From here, a dirt road (km. 1.5) will reach the Belvedere Macallè to 630 meters above sea level observation point with a beautiful panoramic view of Bellagio, the Center Lake and the two branches. I suggest you park in the area Baita Belvedere or a po 'later, however, the road narrows slightly, (I could not taste the specialties of the restaurant since closed until 29-02-2008). There may be difficulty of parking in the summer. The cache (see photo) is 300 meters later in a containment wall of the ground up (see spoiler) behind some rocks. The GPS receives coordinates few satellites could be rather vague. There is a path from the restaurant and one quarter of an hour door at the top of Mount Garnasca 700 mt. Good walk and good cache. Contains only log book and pencil.    Good hunting
