Blackbutt Creek Track
Blackbutt Reserve is a precious remnant of once flourishing native forest in the Ku-ring-gai area. Timber getters arrived in the 1820’s, taking timber into Sydney for the construction of the developing colony. By the 1860’s, farms and orchards replaced the exhausted timber stands. Fortunately, some areas of our natural heritage including Blackbutt Reserve were retained. Blackbutt Reserve is home to a number of flora and fauna that are listed as endangered, threatened or vulnerable under the NSW Threatened Species. To get to the cache you can stay on the track except for the last 10 – 15 meters.
Have fun and enjoy this bushwalk.
