Simple roadside cache
Cache is beside the road west of Lake Ohau, where on a clear day there is a view of Mt Cook. The road is gravel from the Ohau Lodge onwards, and there is a ford to cross that always has water in it, but a two wheel drive car can negotiate it easily if care is taken.
There is also an area nearby suitable for camping.
There is room to park off the road near the cache, but be aware that there are more vehicles using this road than you may imagine, especially in summer.
The cache is a 200ml snaplock container, and when placed contained a few small swaps.
WATCH OUT FOR THE BUSH LAWYER!! it will tear you to pieces! the cache is NOT under it.
