Our first cache. Possibly the first cache at Merrill Creek Resevior in Harmony, NJ.
We wanted to find a cache during one of our trips to look at the snow geese and found there were none there. So we decided to do our first cache at Merrill Creek. For a longer walk, park at the visitor's center; the boat ramp parking lot is closer to the cache. Head out on the perimeter trail and in the late afternoon of the winter months look toward the lake for the snow geese. It's estimated that there are upwards of 20,000 geese that spend the night on the lake. Quite a sight! As you're walking and lose sight of the geese, look at your GPS. The cache is just off the trail -- easy find.
