Geocache Description:

This is a ramble or wander around the small market town of Wantage. It is just over 1km in total length with plenty to see. It's also very buggiable. There is a good pay and display car park at N51 35.231 W001 25.648

The first co-ordinates for this multi-cache will take you to the Butler Center (Stage 1) which was originally a school established by the Reverent Butler in 1850. Look for the plaque to the 'revolutionary' garden planters. When was the garden planted? 200A

Next to the centre is Wantage Museum which is an excellent place to learn about the town, including the subject of the next location.. It also has a cafe which the Squiffles recommend. (And toilets.)

The next clue is at N51 35.364 W001 25.649
Look for a blue plaque to do with locomotion. What date did it open? 1B75. What date did it close? 194C

The next clue is at N51 35.389 W001 25.733
D = The number of girders across the alleyway between the seed crushing buildings.

The next clue is at N51 35.349 W001 25.850
Look for Betjemans' bitter(?) poem about final mirth. Not including the title, E = the number of times the letter L is in the poem.

The next clue is at N51 35.299 W001 25.754
Look for the mock Tudor hut for girls. F = the number of times the letter O appears on the hut sign.

The cache is hidden at N51 3C FED W001 DC BFA
