Geocache Description:

New Year's Cache along a portion of the Lehigh Valley Railroad

Way back when trains still traveled through Honeoye Falls, NY this portion of the LHVRR had an offshoot that ran to the old Bean Mill.

Cache is hidden in an area that used to be known as the "Baby Trestle", the smallest of the three train trestles that spanned areas between Sibley Road, and Main St. in Honeoye Falls. "The Poppa Trestle" used to tower 90' above Honeoye Creek, "The Momma Trestle" was approximately 25' above the gulley below, "The Baby Trestle" was a mere 10" off the ground.

Unfortunately the RR took all the Train Trestles down a number of years ago for safety reasons.

Ironically, as you walk down a piece of 19th century local history you can inspect a piece of 21st century history - the GM Hydrogen Fuel Cell Plant.

Nalgene Sports Bottle for the FTF. Prehistoric Shark's Teeth, and other trinkets for those that follow.

Suggested Parking: Plenty of parking off West Main Street at the head of the trail. Trail head and park at N 42 57.083 W 077 35.999
