Geocache Description:

A quiet cemetery in an out-of-the-way location. The cache is a camouflaged one-litre containter suitable for tradeables. In the winter you will have to wade through the snow as the roads are not plowed out.

This cemetery is classified as a pioneer cemetery and is still active. There are lots of questions about it:

1.Why here?
2.Did this use to be a main road?
3.Why is there no church nearby?

Nevertheless, this is an interesting location. There are stones from the 1800's and some military markers. Here you will see graves from the early settlers from the mid 1800's. The area really opened up after 1865 when the Perry road was built.

Apparently, there were lots of unmarked graves as well. In order to locate the graves, a local decided to “witch” for them much like one “witches” for water. I assume those graves are marked with the crosses.

A toonie is there for the first to find.
