cache has been changed from an ammo can to a micro. ****original description****
This is #1 in a series we have started to pay tribute to the the local Geocaching Communities we meet and socialize with during our Excellent Cross Country Adventures.
As of August 21, 2006, we are officially retired. That was the day we closed on the sale of our Landscaping business in Knoxville, TN, and headed out to travel the country, full time, in our RV.
The containers in this series are all specially painted camo art ammo boxes which itchy, himself, designed and painted.
Brownsville was the 1st stop along the way during 2007. We arrived in Brownsville the first week in April and stayed until the second week of June.
The cache is hidden at one of those small town, off the beaten path, treasures that one seems to luck up on every once in awhile. It is the life's work of a man named Billy Tripp. We have been to this site many times and always see something new we never noticed before.
For more about the sculpture and Billy, click here...
Special thanks to Billy for allowing us to place the cache here so more people would see it. Be sure to sign the Guest Book.
Other Special Thanks go to Canoe Guy who has agreed to look after the cache when we are not in town. He even Archived a multi he had here so we could place this one.
Some people in the caching community are sooooo cool!
You are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to post pictures of your visit here. As you will see, there's a lot to ponder!
