You know that you’ve seen it. It lurks on street signs and at
entrances to neighborhoods and shopping centers. Who knows where it
will end up next?! It is spreading like kudzu all over our fair
city and will probably take over the entire planet! What is
it?
It’s THE PRETENTIOUS
E!!
You know you’ve found it when you see a sign that reads “Parke”
instead of “Park”. Or how about the sophisticated “Pointe” instead
of “Point”? There are just too many examples to list. Sometimes we
get so sick of seeing these ridiculous monikers that we just want
to scream from the rooftops: “Give us a break(e)!!!”
So here’s the deal. We have hidden a cache near one of the most
prominent pretentious Es in town. If you’re a local, then you
probably know where it is already. (And we will even forgive the
extra E, since this is a great spot for shopping, catching a movie,
grabbing a bite to eat, etc.) Feel free to rant about the invasion
of the pretentious E in your online log for the cache – it will
make us all feel better. We just might create a little series of
caches as we discover more pretentious Es around town, and we
invite YOU to hide a cache near YOUR favorite pretentious E (if
it's a cache-appropriate spot, please) so we can learn all about
it!!
