Geocache Description:

Very accessible from sidewalk. An urban cache easily done without an automobile and very family friendly.

This cache is in celebration of Northern Virginia's only Mardi Gras parade. A great event that takes place only a few feet away from this location every year on Shrove (or Fat) Tuesday to celebrate the end of the Carnival season. In 2008, Fat Tuesday will be February 5.

This cache is filled with beads, dubloons and other throws collected at past Mardi Gras parades both in Clarendon and New Orleans. Take what you want, I will refill the cache after Mardi Gras day and likely before then as well.

This is a very public spot - please keep your shirt on and look out for muggles.

Cache is a 2 Qt. plastic container painted brown.

Parking is on-street nearby, but the site is very walkable from both the Clarendon and Courthouse Metro stations and easy to reach by nearby bike lanes.
