Geocache Description:

It is on a beach hike.

Happy New Year! It's great to be back in California.

This the second half of the series on a beach walk from Mandalay Beach to McGrath State Beach. This half is mostly on the McGrath side. There are offers beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets as well as bird watching.

I started on the end of 5th St. but there may be other ways. McGrath State Beach is currently closed. There is also some parking at N34 13.270 W119 15.300 but do not trespass on the oil company land.

You don't need to trespass or go into any dune restoration area. Obviously watch out for the wildlife. There are small trails or sandy non-dune areas to walk.
