This cache is near "old" downtown Elk River. You can park near by.
Old time main streets are going away! Elk River is trying to stop this trend. With all the big box stores out on hwy 169 the downtown area was in need of a boost.
They have built multi-purpose buildings with condos up and retail at street level.
They are also starting to take in the river again with the gazebo and seating areas for entertainment. Take a few minutes to sit a watch the river make the big bend around Otsego.
