Geocache Description:

Ammo box placed with permission via permit # ERWA-08-G-001.

In Dec 2006 I attempted to place this ammo box in the wildernss area. I was rejected because Seminole County was not accepting new caches because they didn't have a handle on the caching activity in the wildermess areas. Fast forward over a year - and now they have all caches inventoried and a process in place for allowing new caches. You have to get a permit (which can be renewed annually).

I received mine on Friday and hid this ammo box this weekend. I stuffed it with family friendly items (4 kids books, toys, cards, etc). We headed out with our 4, 6, and 8 year old to hide this.

We loved the red oak forest at the front of the area.
Didn't love the scrub pine/palmetto area that followed.
However, we really loved the oak forest that we hid the cache in.

It's about 0.8mi from the parking area, but if you are looking for a fun family walk on an extremely well manicured trail, you have found it.

We passed many families and puppies on our hike. I think that our dalmation enjoyed the day the most.

Cache is a off the path a bit to keep it from being found.

Signal was a little bit jumpy due to tree cover, but these were the best coords I could get. Good Luck and Enjoy!
