Geocache Description:

This is a scenic overlook of an unnamed lake in Halpatiokee Regional Park.

Only a scant few feet off a fire/service trail cut, this cache location offers a nice view of the huge man-made lake created by removal of fill dirt to build I-95. Since nearly 50 years have passed since this was formed, this lake has reached maturity but there is no access area for motorized boats that I know about.
This cache is the result of a momentary brainstorm by yours truly. It came about when my geocaching group was trying to decide where to visit the next time we got together. We decided to try something different than Jonathan Dickinson State Park and closer to home and Halpatiokee was suggested. We wanted to visit enough caches to keep us busy for the better part of a day without having to drive around separately. At the time there were only 5 caches available by foot in a large park, so Gatorgirl and I got this idea to come out and find some nice places to visit and place some additional caches. I hope you enjoy your outings.
This cache is an ammo box not very well concealed, but hopefully sufficiently enough and in a remote enough area that it won't be muggled. Please rehide this as best you can.
There is a camera inside. Please pose and take a pic of yourself and when you log in here describe what you are wearing so I can id you and post your pic on this site. When the last pic is taken, I am hoping the last cacher will notify me so I can go out and retrieve it.

After signing the log, please visit my other caches in this park as well as others hidden by my geocaching compatriots.
And smile...this is geocaching fun!!!
