I expect to do some milling about in the parking area for an
hour or so. Each participant will need to fill in a volunteer form
for Hills Co Parks (I have those). A couple of hours on the water
gathering trash, then off to whatever adventures the day might
hold. I'm not planning lunch, I expect this to finish up in the
late morning, but I guess I'll bring a coffee thermos or two. I bet
someone will show up with donuts (someone always does).
A heavy knife or wire cutters might come in handy for working
steel fishing leader off roots. The bulk of the riverfront trash is
along the shore line fairly near the ramp and to the east, with
another pile on the first big log jam downstream from the ramp
(Seventeen Runs).
The FGA will be donating an FGA Compass Coin for some lucky
CITOer and either an FGA t-shirt or cap.
There's little trash in the park, but non-boaters could come and
likely find some if they wanted to look for it.
