Geocache Description:

We thought Ottontot's "Civil War" cache was a great idea. We liked it so much we decided to borrow the idea and create our own competition cache.

In the world of NASCAR, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are viewed as top rivals...at least to their fans. In the 2008 season, Dale Jr. switched teams and is now Jeff Gordon's teammate. Fans on both sides are waiting to see how this will work out.

We decided to have our own competition to see who is the more popular driver. We've placed a large black camo'd plastic container that contains three smaller caches...one for Jeff, one for Dale Jr. and another for fans of other drivers or non-race fans, each with their own log book. The cache is loaded with NASCAR trading stock as well as other goodies for the kids.

The is also a Jeff and Dale Jr. TB. Let's see which one can log more miles by the end of 2008.

NASCAR is often viewed as just going fast and turning left, but for this cache you'll need to make a right hand turn after the gate. There are some thorns, so beware.
