A container that is slightly larger than a sandwich container. There's a wide spot to pull off the road.
Always practice CITO. It makes a good cover story for the muggles.
This is one of the places that I release the squirrels that raid my bird feeders. I use a live trap baited with peanut butter right underneath the feeder post. If the little beasties leave the feeders alone, I leave them alone. If they attempt to raid the feeders, they come close enough to smell the irresistable aroma of the bait and the trap door traps them. I keep watch through a window. When I see the trap sprung, I load them into the Jeep and "Take them for a ride". A towel over the cage keeps them from getting too overwrought. Upon reaching one of my release points, I pull off the road, remove the cage, open it up, and "away we go"!
They only suffer a little psychological trauma but if they're going to return, they've a long trek. They're several miles from "home" and must cross a super highway and a swamp to get here. Generally, there are plenty of others who move in and take over the territory. Thus far I've trapped 22 of them (plus three possums and two greedy doves).
