If you park at the suggested location (the entrance to Canford School) and follow the path you will pass under two bridges. The first takes you under the Wimborne by-pass. It is bland to look at but Eliza loved the echo (Coo-Eee). The second is an old bridge from when the railway went to/ from Wimborne over the River Stour. It is built in the same style as the Lady Wimborne cottages which can be seen around this area. By choosing to take the path back along the river bank you may see a kingfisher.
An alternative walk is available from Poole Bridge at the end of Lady Wimborne Drive where parking off the main road is best found on Whitehouse Road. If you do approach from this end, please use the path to the left of the driveway to access Lady Wimborne Drive.
