청주 프로젝트 그 7번째 시리즈
- 청주 우암산 (338m) -

소가 누워있는 모습이랑 닮았다고 하여 불러진 이름입니다. 드라이브 코스, 크고작은 사찰들, 한옥마을, 두어개의 산성, 공원 등등 여러가지 문화시설이 있습니다.

우암산에 관련된 이야기
선조때 토정 이지함이 청주 서쪽의 부모산에 올라 우암산의 지세를 살피다가 황소기질 같은 강인한 기운이 솟는 명당혈을 발견했다. 우암산이 전체적으로 소가 앉은 형상이라면 그 혈은 배부분에 해당된다.

토정은 제자 박춘무와 함께 그 곳을 확인한 뒤 '이 곳은 장군에게 적합한 곳이니 범하지 말라'는 푯말을 세우고 떠났다. 그 뒤 진천의 조풍수란 사람이 이곳에 이르러 푯말을 뽑아 버리고 조상의 묘를 이전하려하자 요란한 천둥소리와 함께 황소 우는 소리가 나고 짙은 안개가 시야를 가리더니 가묘는 검은 바위로 변했고, 조풍수의 눈도 멀어 버렸다.

우암산은 2시간 정도면 왕복 등반이 가능합니다. 캐시는 정산에서 약간 아래 있습니다.(정산엔 사람이 너무 많아서) 낮은 산행이므로 가벼운 마음으로 등반하시면 좋을 것 같습니다.
