There will be a Cache In,
Trash Out (C.I.T.O.) EVENT
on Saturday, April 12, 2008, 9:00 AM - NOON
at Juno Dunes Natural Area.
Participation is limited to 30 Volunteers.
When you post your intentions to attend,
please include the number of participants for our planning
purposes.
Help us celebrate
International Cache In Trash
Out Day
(We are working on April 12th because LOW TIDE will be cooperating
with us that day.)
We need you to pitch in
and help clean up the Intracoastal Waterway side of this Natural
Area. Join us at the US 1 parking lot area at 9:00 a.m. for a brief
meeting to get everyone signed in.
There are no other pre-registration
requirements.
WE ARE NOT PLANNING A
LUNCH TOGETHER, SINCE THERE IS NO PAVILION HERE, BUT WATER AND
REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED BY ERM.
WORK GLOVES, TRASH BAGS AND "GRABBERS" WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED.
LONG PANTS AND CLOSED-TOE SHOES ARE RECOMMENDED, (BOOTS IF YOU HAVE
THEM) SINCE WE WILL BE WORKING IN A MANGROVE HABITAT.
ALSO, THERE ARE THORNY AND SPINY PLANTS IN THE
AREA.
The Palm Beach County
Department of Environmental Resources Management
has been very receptive to
Geocaching, and as a result, this Natural Area has a number of
caches in it. Please come out and help show our appreciation for
this NA, and the other thousands of acres of Palm Beach County
Natural Area land made available for Geocaching due to PBC ERM
policy!
If we get enough volunteers this could be
a fairly short work day, leaving plenty of time for post CITO
caching. In any case, we will be finished no later than
Noon.
There are at least 20 caches in this
576-acre Natural Area, and many more within a 2-mile radius
for your enjoyment after the
C.I.T.O. Event.
