Jack Darling Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

AC70: Stage 4 magnetic tube has been muggled 3 times on this one. The drilled out rock on stage 5 has been muggled 2 times. I am running out of steel tubing, magnets and drill bits. As this site is a bit far from my home I decided to archieve this one. Area is open for anyone who wishes to set up singles or even a multi?

Geocache Description:

This multi-stage geocache takes place in and around Jack Darling and Rattray Marsh Parks in Mississauga. The overall walking distance of about 4km is a mixture of paved, dirt, boardwalk, and wooded lot trails. There are some great viewing locations for both wildlife (mainly birds) as well as the City of Toronto skyline. You will also be viewing a lot of dogs as one of the caches is in a dog leash free area.

The starting location is close to a convenient free parking lot but be aware that the parking gate closes at 9pm and according to other signage the park itself closes at 11pm? Moreover, one should be aware that in Rattray Park there are no bicycles allowed and dogs must be kept on a leash. Most of the caches can be easily reached during all times of the year but one cache may present a bit of difficulty for cachers under six feet. That said, I know cachers are a resourceful group and will think of some safe and steathly way to get this one. Another cache might not be fully Canadian climate friendly as it is on the ground but in a shelter location. It should be visible year round, unless the snow really drifts in.

Bring a pencil as you will be collecting information at each cache that you will need to decode to find the final location.

Please replace all caches securely as found.

Enjoy the walk, the views and the hunt.

PS. On a final walk through the day before I was going to publish this cache I noticed that some new construction wiped out one of my original stage caches. Unfortunately, this also wiped out a bit of the view from this location. No need for alarm however, as for now a substitution cache, close to the original, is in place until the construction is finished. You will see a temporary redirect at stage two that will give you the temporary cache location. The clue still works more or less. I will replace the original after the rebuild.
