Geocache Description:

Along the trail through the East Wetlands.

This is a 6X6X8 inch Lock and Lock container, containing several goodies like LED lights, whistles, batteries, etc., and a log and pen. Because I'm feeling generous, there's 5 bucks for FTF. You have to look for that, too. Try and keep it hidden, as there is increasingly more muggle traffic through here.

After you find it, stay awhile and look around. You'll see stumps of cottonwood trees the beavers have cut down to build dams in the area. This is going to be a real paradise when the City is done with it. When I was a kid, before the Salinity Bypass Canal was built, Riverside Park actually did have the Colorado River alongside it, and we used to fish there every Sunday. The area suffered from 30 years of illegal dumping, homeless camps and general neglect before someone turned a vision to reality with the Wetlands.

Available during Park hours, closed from 11 PM to 5 AM.
