Geocache Description:

You are seeking an ammo can hidden in celebration of wsgaskins’ 1000th cache find. Those of us who have had the pleasure of caching with him know he is a firm believer in the concept: The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. If only caching were always that simple!

Johnston Mill Nature Preserve which is owned by the Triangle Land Conservancy was acquired through the purchase of two tracts in 1999 as part of the New Hope Creek Campaign. It protects land along New Hope Creek corridor. At Johnston Mill, one can find a number of rare plant and animal species, historic mill sites, and a number of creeks that criss-cross the nearly 300-acre site. The preserve is rarely crowded, which adds to its appeal. Please treat the area with kindness and tread lightly.

This cache is located on land that belongs to the Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC).
Please enjoy this place and treat it with respect. For more information on the TLC, refer to: (visit link) Thanks!
