Micro (magnetic key holder) in a small park in Dansville. IT IS NOT JUST A BAG WITH A LOG IN IT IN THE BUSHES! IF YOU FIND THIS - THIS IS NOT THE CACHE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS MYSTERY BAG AND LOG IS - BUT IT IS NOT THE CACHE. Please look for a magnetic keyholder - it is there - really!
This is a nice, little cache in a place where caches aren’t very plentiful currently – my hometown – Dansville. But, I’m trying to change the town’s Geocache-challenged status by putting a few there. I lived here until I was about 23 and I never really took the time to walk around town and enjoy what it had to offer. Ladybug reminded me of this park and we thought it was a cool spot for a cache. It’s especially beautiful here during the Christmas season when they line both sides of the sidewalk with lighted Christmas trees and light up the gazebo.
It’s called Church Park because it’s in between two churches (very original, I know). It was designated for public use by Nathaniel Rochester in 1810. For more historic info on Nathaniel Rochester and his link to Dansville, NY, go here: (visit link)
There is a lot of obvious and close parking available. Bring your own writing implement as there’s no room for one in the cache or anything else for that matter except for a small log book. As usual, please replace the cache just as you found it to make it tons of fun for the next cacher :) Have fun and enjoy discovering this little park.
