La villa, progettata nel Settecento e rimaneggiata nell'Ottocento, è uno degli esempi più notevoli di recupero del barocchetto, venuto di moda sullo scorcio del XIX secolo. L'edificio fu trasformato da Giovanni Balzaretto (che progettò anche il parco all'inglese con piante esotiche d'alto fusto, magnolie e sempreverdi tutt'ora presenti) e poi ulteriormente ampliato da Emilio Alemagna, cui si devono le forme attuali. La villa fu sottoposta a un radicale rinnovamento degli apparati decorativi, nel solco di un revival del barocchetto, sottolineato da ferri battuti, cornici a cartoccio, balaustre in pietra e cemento, verande e pensiline in ferro riccamente ornate. L'intento di recuperare l'atmosfera delle "ville di delizia" del 1600-1700 è particolarmente evidente nell'impianto dell'edificio e nello stretto rapporto di compenetrazione con il paesaggio che ben risponde alla sensibilità che risale al 1800. Nel complesso della villa si trova la sontuosa cappella di famiglia, detta Cappella Vela, progettata dall’architetto Balzaretti, ha uno spazio ottagonale armonico con nicchie sui lati ed è impreziosita da stucchi e bassorilievi di Lorenzo Vela, scultore svizzero del 1800 .

Cappella Vela aperta la terza domenica del mese previa prenotazione presso Ass. Natura ed Arte, le scuderie parzialmente aperte durante manifestazioni.

IL PARCO bellissimo è aperto tutti i giorni dell'anno 08.00>18.00 in inverno 08.00>19.00 in estate, ed è questa stupenda opera di 30 ettari che vi voglio far conoscere.
Parcheggiate al PK1 oppure al PK2, allle coordinate note c'era un pannello informativo con la planimetria del parco, situata poco dopo l’ingresso " QUESTO PANNELLO E' STATO TEMPORANEAMENTE RIMOSSO  IN ATTESA DEL RIPRISTINO LO RENDO PUBBLICO con UNA MIA FOTO di 2 anni fà..
Rilevate la posizione dove si trova un “carpino” e passeggiate lungo i viali fino a trovarlo, vicino c'è un cartello del percorso “TRAINING” (vedi foto)

Arrivati qui cercate il cache, fate attenzione siete vicino alla casa del proprietario del parco, non disturbatelo troppo.
