Ever driven along Greenhill Road and wondered what that stripe on the hill across the valley is? That's a track my friend, and my challenge to you is to hike up it (or run, if you're insane.)
I know it only as "The ETSA track" and while seasoned bushwalkers won't blink an eye, this cache is not wheelchair accessible.
This cache has an odd history. Originally posted on Geocaching.com.au (visit link) the hider (S2MB) had no previous finds or hides, and upon visiting the cache site Four-fun found only an 'intel' spray jacket (still in its wrapping.) No cache, no logbook, nothing. Our hero quickly whipped up a cache to replace it, however it was rarely visited, and when I found it, the container was rusting away and the contents damp (visit link)
And so the cache passed to me, I have replaced the container, moved the listing to geocaching.com and provide it now for all of you to enjoy. Previous geocaching.com.au finders are welcome to log the cache.
The most rewarding route is straight up. Park at the Chambers Gully turnoff, take the right over the creek and gain altitude from there. Alternatively there is the more gentle route, continue up the gully for a while until you get to the gate, then switch back across the face of the hill. The cache isn't far off this track.
Sometime recently (in the past year or so?) somebody has come along and toppled over all the power poles which used to stand along this track. I've no idea why...
