Geocache Description:

Ein schneller Tradi mitten in der Altstadt Tübingens.

Die Koordinaten führen auf den historischen Marktplatz in Tübingen.

Dieser ist neben der Neckarfront wohl das begehrteste Fotomotiv in Tübingen.
Das Rathaus wurde 1435 dreistockig aufgebaut, 1508 um ein viertes Geschoß aufgestockt und 1511 mit einer kunstvollen astronomischen Uhr verziert die noch immer funktioniert und den Lauf der Gestirne und die Mondphasen anzeigt. Die Hauptfassade erhielt zum 400-jährigen Jubiläum der Universität 1877 ihr malerisches Aussehen.

Jeden Montag, Mittwoch und Freitag findet auf dem Marktplatz zwischen 7:00 und 13:00 Uhr der Tübinger Wochenmarkt statt. Das kann unter Umständen das Loggen etwas erschweren.

Das Heben des Caches sollte relativ unauffällig passieren, da der Martplatz meistens sehr gut besucht ist. Wer nicht in exponierter Lage loggen möchte, darf sich gerne mit dem Logbuch in eines der angrenzenden Bistros setzten und dort in aller Ruhe loggen und das Treiben auf dem Marktplatz beobachten.

The Market place with City Hall and Neptune's Fountain, along with the Neckar waterfront, is one of the favorite photographic subjects in Tübingen. The visually dominating City Hall was built with three stories in 1435, in 1508 heightened by a fourth level, and in 1511 decorated with an artfully made astronomical clock. The clock, which is still working, shows the course of the stars and the phases of the moon. The main facade, with its picturesque appearance, was completed for the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the university in 1877.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays there will be farmer's market between 7:00 am to 01:00 pm which will make it a bit more difficult to log this cache.

Please be patient logging the cache. Whoever doesn't want to actually log in such an exposed location may take the logbook in one of the bistros nearby and enjoy the view onto the market place and write the log unhurriedly.
