Bring some water, victuals and a good pair of shoes/boots because you will be walking almost 10km (i.e. quarter of a marathon distance) to complete this multi cache. Besides the great exercise and cache hunting the route tours many of the activities to do and see in centennial park. Depending on the season one may see many muggles enjoying; walking, soccer, baseball, Frisbee, athletics, football, volleyball, go-carts, fishing, skating on the pond, skiing, snow shoeing, tobogganing, walking the dog, flying the kite, flying model airplanes, compositing grass, golfing, greenhousing, et-cetera. In short, it is a nice park to enjoy all types of activities, including geocaching.
Stage caches are winter friendly being located between 0.5m and 2.0m off the ground with most closer to the 0.5m measurement. If you do decide to try this one in the winter, you will want to bring a parka, gortex pants, and some serious gloves because the wind does tend to whip across the open areas of this park adding a considerable wind chill. With respect to terrain, most of the caches are close to either a paved, gravel, or dirt biking/walking path. That said, if you try to follow the arrow from stage 6 to the final you will encounter a lot of thick bush. I suggest you take well worn trails, walk across the open grass or roads to walk around and head in to the cache when close. It is only about 20m into the bush.
To successfully complete this cache, in addition to the basics, you will need to bring binoculars and a mirror.
Given the longer physical and time requirement to complete this cache I have included two movie passes and a centennial quarter (real silver back in 1967) for the FTF, there are also 2TF and 3TF loot bags which include Tim’s gift cards and some collectable quarters.
