Located off White Tail Deer Nature Trail in Green Lane Reservoir Park.
This cache is placed with the permission of the Montgomery County Department of Parks and Heritage Services.
Follow the White Tail Deer Nature Trail which is Blue blazed. The blazes are inconsistent but the trail will be obvious. Trail is mucky in spots and may be icy in winter. Proper hiking footwear is strongly advised. Cache is just off a branch of the trail but the hard part will be to find which branch. Some small streams may have to be crossed. I named this cache after a white tail buck I saw while bike riding in another part of the park. He was on the trail ahead and did not yield the trail to me. I stopped my bike and waited for him to leave. He was not intimidated by me. Very regal. The Blue Blazed trail offers a nice circuit hike for the way back, but may be difficult to pick up due to inconsistent markings. Waymark the car.
