Gone fishin' at Willow Beach. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ar_kayaker: The wettest year on record seems to have changed the size of the lake permenantly and this location remains underwater. I've decided to archieve this cache in favor of placing a new one elsewhere in the park.

Geocache Description:

A small cache in Willow Beach Park.

This little known park east of Little Rock is one of many U.S. Army - Corps of Engineer properties along the Arkansas River. It is a great spot for a picnic, to fish, launch a boat, or just sit and watch the river roll by.

The large pavillion and part of the picnic area is closed over the winter months, but there are still plenty of picnic tables and a playground that are available all year.

There are RV campsight with hookups ($19 a night) if you have an RV and take that long to find the cache.

P.S. Use stealth if fishermen are about.

Park hours for those not staying the night are 6am - 10pm.
