with this game again ...
If you are from the area, you were aware of the frenzied
anticipation, last year, waiting for Dosido to find
Alexa's First Cache.
Last year, my motivation was to get a "Alexa Custom Decorated Ammo
Can". After reading
his first note for "AFC", well frankly, this year, my
motivation was to work with Team Dosido, sans Dad, and yes put
another cache out on Super Bowl Sunday, while he is off with his
"buddies".
This year Alexa has taken it to another level. Not only is this
cache a Puzzle Cache, but a Multi as well!
Ceremonial FTF
As last year, there will be 2 FTF's. Since Dosido, clueless
again, is unaware of the cache, he will find out just as you are,
and will be allowed the Ceremonial FTF. Please hold off until his
log is posted, when the cache will be open to all. Should he decide
to bring a Googolplex ( I had to
work that word in again this year ) of cachers, he can post his
intentions and you can accompany him on the sled ride for the
hunt.
The official FTF will be the first cacher to find after his log is
posted, and will receive a Dunkin' Donuts Gift card so they can get
one of those new hot chocolates to warm up with!
The Cache Proper
The cache is in the same area as
c88m's Midura Multi Stash. Parking is the same off Old Warren
Road. You may head behind the map signs there and right across the
field to what once was McMaster road. The kid friendly trail is
basically a dirt road, suitable for all ages. Both waypoints are
about 100 FT off the trail, the second up a slight incline. Hey it
was so easy that the Chief could do it!!!! ( yea Dosido he was in
on the deal as well, actually he provided the first container after
you "stole" the one I had you paint for this cache, from me.. Yea
the swag I had in my car was for this cache ... we did the Dollar
Store as a group as well! )
At the waypoint provided, your task is to find the container with
the "Puzzle" created by Alexa. Once you solve the puzzle, you will
have the coordinates for the Final. It's that easy! Round trip is
just over a mile.
The final is a traditionally hidden .30 cal. ammo can, decorated by
Alexa. There's room for most regular size travel bugs, and trade
items. Since this is a "Kid Friendly" cache, we are stocking it
with trinkets, all hand selected Alexa, with assistance from
brother Will.
