This cache is placed in honor of brave young Lance Corporal Wesley
G. Davids, a U.S. Marine who I never met, but whose memorial travel
bug I placed in this cache at the time of its publication. My cache
is a tribute to him and the countless other brave service men and
women to whom I offer this small token of my appreciation,
recognition and gratitude. Complete the first column of the table
below and add the numeric values you record there. All years should
be expressed with four-digit numbers. The result will be a
five-digit value. Call that VWXYZ.

B = V + W
C = X – Z
D = W - Z
E = V + Y
F = W – V
G = V + X
H = Z + V
I = Z - V
