This cache is located off the Threlfall Walk, in spectacular Gara Gorge country. The walk follows the flume delivering water to one of Australia's first hydro-electric projects, now abandoned.
This cache is a rectangular plastic container, containing log book, writing implements, and a few items to swap. This is my first cache, in an area that my family has been coming to for years. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The Threlfall walk is a 5.5km round circuit, which is well worth the effort. The most convenient parking is at:
S30 36.039, E151 47.917.
Watch for snakes in long grass during summer, and keep an eye on your children near the edge of the gorge.
