Geocache Description:

A multi cache in a surprising location which provides a bit of history of North Berwick.


You can do this cache in the order suggested , or in reverse. The latter may be preferable if you are also doing Forgotten East Lothian Castles: North Berwick.

The Old Toll House

There is a plaque at the side of the roundabout on the site of the old toll house. The plaque tells you that to the East is Tantallon Castle. Approximately how many miles away is it = A?
What is the third number directly after the words "The Law" = B?
Travellers entering North Berwick from the East had to pay a road tax. Road tolls were abolished in 1869. Which line of text is that date on = C?

The next clues can be found on the information boards in the glen, so it may be worth looking at the map showing you their locations.
