Our large group consisting of 12 cachers and 8 vehicles were on the way to a cache up the road when we saw an amazing sight. A van was stuck on a large barrier made of rocks prohibiting access to a closed road. The 5 teens were both surprised and relieved to see so many cars stop and everyone get out to lend a hand. The teens gladly accepted our offer and proceeded to remove their prized possessions from the van: alcohol, fireworks and paintball guns.

So the guys got to work and moved large rocks with big logs and muscle power, even lifting the back end of the van and eventually freed it from the barrier. The teens were grateful for the help and we headed off to the next cache. When we drove by an hour later, the teens were still there,the van had been driven down the bumpy unmaintained road out of sight and was in the process of being towed back out by a Jeep.

And naturally, amid all the commotion, we placed a cache nearby.
