This final mystery bonus cache is located in Bourton Wood which is a working wood run by Batsford Timber Yard. There is one public footpath running alongside the NW edge from Blockley village to Troopers Lodge on the A44. However, the Forestry Commission have recently erected noticeboards and signs informing people that "Walkers are welcome" throughout the entire wood. You will possibly see some signs still saying that you need a "Permit to Walk" and a personal one can be obtained from Batsford Timber in Aston Magna. However, I have had one for 10 years and never been asked for it but to be on the safe side, I have requested one for all geocachers. I believe the purpose of the permits is to inform the holders of any temporary closure of the woods due to working activities. In the unlikely event that I receive such notice, I will post the information on this site.

The footpaths can be anything from wide dirt roads to slightly parted grass where the deer have roamed, so, there are no waymarks at all. It is for this reason that you should take note where you entered the wood so that your GPS can get you out again. It is a large area. Other occasional users of the wood are paintballers (but in coralled areas), dog walkers and once a year in spring, motocross riders.

The GPS coverage in the wood can be 'touch & go' at times but there are a number of clearings where bearings can be checked frequently. The cache is on the edge of one of these clearings so once you're in the correct vicinity you should be able to identify the location reasonably easy. The spoiler will definitely close down the last few metres
