Geocache Description:

Rated 4 for difficulty - but only a very short steep and rough walk from the car. Parking might be a problem - you might need to drive along a bit to find a spot where you can pull off.

This quarry supplied sandstone for the construction of the Ridgeway dam. The stone was carried by tramway to a self acting haulage way to be crushed into sand to make cement at the dam site.
(A self-acting tramway used the weight of a descending loaded truck to pull an empty truck up to the loading ramp.)
This was all happening in the early 1900's.
