Geocache Description:

The above coordinates will take you to the first stage of a multi-stage cache around Concord.

This will take you to one of our historical makers. Note the date that Jefferson Davis spent the night in Concord.

N 35 24.068
W 080 35.413

The above coordinates will take you to a place that used to be one of the busiest places in Concord. The train depot that stood here brought many people to visit. The depot was destroyed in the early 1970's when a train derailed here. When you turn your car around and head to the street, there will be a sign on a power pole to the right. What's the name on the sign?

The above coordinates will place you at a monument placed in honor of Benjamin Patton, one of the signers of The Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. When was this monument placed?

To find the final cache, figure out the following:

N 35 24.___
W 080 35.___

Multiply the number of letters in the month Jefferson Davis spent the night in Concord by the number of letters in the word on the sign at the depot.

_______________________________

Add 16 to this number to determine the last three digits of the North coordinates.

_______________________________

Subtract the year Jefferson Davis spent the night in Concord from the year Benjamin Patton's monument was erected.

_______________________________

Add 558 to this number to determine the last three digits of the West coordinates.

Good luck!
