Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off the Superior Hiking Trail about .55 miles from the Split Rock Spur parking area. Although well marked, the trail is quite steep in areas.
It was placed before heavy snow and rain. It may be difficult to access until the spring thaw.

The cache and the trail you will take are located within the boundaries of Split Rock State Park close to a heavily used trail. Please take care to minimize the impact of your visit.

I treasure the sound of running water and the peacefulness of a shaded glen. Although there are bigger and louder falls on this loop, they lack the sweet serenity of this area.

I strongly suggest you use snowshoes in the winter and that, at anytime of year, you complete this very scenic 5 mile loop.

The cache is a small screw top container suitable for small trade items. Initial items include the grab-on TB, FTF buck, and friendly swag.

This cache has been approved by the DNR. A special thanks to Lisa Angelos, Assistant Park Manager for her assistance during the approval process.
