A few years ago when walking in the area, my son climbed one of the trees close to this cache. Being quite young he needed help to jump down from the tree and stumbled slightly as he landed. As I helped him to his feet I noticed, in clear view on the ground, an old British penny (1d) coin. When I picked it up I found that the penny was in excellent condition and, scarily, was dated with the year of my birth – some 40 odd years earlier.
We searched the area for more ‘booty’ but found nothing else. How the coin got to be there is a mystery. We’ve passed the tree many times since and, despite checking every time, found nothing more.
At the time we found the coin I’d been quite ill for a while. I’ve kept the coin with me ever since and, touch wood, well let’s say, I’m still here now…
To commemorate the coin, I’ve made this my first cache. It is a relatively easy multi-cache. Included in the cache are some pennies of varying ages. Is your lucky penny there?

Use the last five letters of the first word and allocate the numbers for "efghi" from the first waypoint in order. Use these numbers to solve the puzzle below to get the coordinates for the cache:-

The cache is a small round pot which contains some "Lucky Pennies". The pot will take small swops, TBs and GeoCoins. If you are lucky enough to find more than one "Lucky Penny" please take only one so that others have a chance to find theirs.
The cache shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes car door to car door.
