Grodan

Skulpturen Grodan föreställer en flicka som leker med en groda.

Flickan har vissa grodliknande drag. Detta kan få sin förklaring genom att det franska ordet för tonårsflicka är ”une grenouille”, vilket betyder just groda.

Skulpturen har gjorts i flera exemplar -du kan finna ytterligare ett i Ronneby Brunnspark.

Konstnär är Per Hasselberg
1850-1894
Uppväxt i Blekinge men begav sig till Paris i unga år.

The Frog

The sculpture portrays a girl playing with a frog.

The girl has some froglike features. This may be explained by the French word for teenage girl “une grenouille” which means frog.

The sculpture has been made in several copies. One of them can be found in Ronneby Brunnspark.

The artist is Per Hasselberg
1850-1894
He was raised in Blekinge but moved to Paris when he was young.
