Geocache Description:

Another Micro In The Thorns Of En-tear-ment

Oh yeah my fellow cachers, are you in for a treat if you chose this cache. I am talking about a fun? adventure for those that are not put down by Oklahoma's very own viscious green briars. Or the tan ones. Or even the green and purple ones with a multitude of different thorns. That is right, this cache is placed in an area that has been taken over by the thorns. Thorns on the way in, thorns around the cache, thorns on the way out. I lost a bit of blood and flesh myself placing the cache but the view is outstanding and the reward is great. You can get close but if your truck is not a 4X4 and it has been raining or snowing or the dam leaked, you just might get stuck or just spin your tires going back up the hill. So think about walking in from a safe parking area. No parking on the dam of course.

There is a stream crossing as well as a big boggy area so plan accordingly. The water level can change just by rain or the water coming over the spillway a mile back from the cache. Beware of the active beavers in the area and if you watch silently, you might observe them coming out of there shelters. Beaver have big teeth and a large tail, I wouldn't try to pet one or capture one, let alone try to ride one (don't ask...it was embarassing on my part and Kand won't tell you either, he is sworn to secrecy). So beware where you are walking and don't fall in a beaver hole, you just might pull a stump back.

There is a small hike in a wooded, hilly area, so watch for other animals as well as PI and yes, THE DREADED THORNS ( I wouldn't wear shorts if I was you). The hill side is steep and can be trecherous in any weather so be cautious. And if you walk along the upper edge, it can be a long way down. I don't think you would have time to deploy your chute before you crashed into the ground. There is no need to cross over private property so don't do it. Beware of the four wheelers and off roaders in the area, you may never know who is watching you. I think this area might be inhabited by Sasquatch as I heard a very unusual animal howl and I saw some big animal poo in the area.

So now you are thinking what is in it for me to find this cache. A micro in the woods? A bison in a cedar tree? A film cannister under a skirt? When are you all going to learn? This is a Darkmoon Cache. It is for those who enjoy finding a huge ammo can, and I do mean huge, filled with really cool swag (until the first 10 cachers and then it will be filled up with old golf balls and rocks from the nearby stream) and an adventurous walk that you can tell your grand children about later in life. It is of course done up in a Darkmoon Stealth Paintjob and hidden here so please, please hide it back like it was so Bigfoot won't take one of my caches again. I had to supply him with a years supply of Chili Cheese Fritos so I could get it back the last time.So plan accordingly, bring some friends and have some fun in the woods, it won't cost you a thing!
