The Village, was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The Village residents live in fear of creatures with no name that live in the woods that surround the Village.

In this Village, there are unknown creatures as well. You’ll surely see them creaping around while you’re here. The residents of this Village seem to fear all things outside this village. They prefer to stay here, within walking distance when possible.

In the movie, they have built a barrier of oil lanterns and watch towers that are constantly manned to keep watch for Those We Don't Speak Of. Villagers do go into the woods and the creatures are not welcome in the Village.

There are many barriers, fences and gates in this Village to keep the outsiders out. There are signs and markings that guide visitors carefully around the village. Please head theses markings.

The Elders that run the Village govern the people and places within the Village. In the movie the Elders keep dart secrets from their offspring. Those who might look to leave the Village and enter the woods are sent warnings by the creatures that leave red paint markings around the Village when no one is looking.

In this Village, you will find numerous red markings and warnings that must be heeded by all those in the Village and visitors.

After a becoming desperate for medicine, Ivy goes into the woods to try to find “the towns” where the “wicked people” live. Ivy eventually finds her way to the edge of the woods where she encounters a large wall. After climbing the wall she meets up with a Wildlife Ranger. The audience found out that the Village is INSIDE a huge Wildlife Preserve. The preserve is in a HUGE no fly zone and thus the residents have no idea about the technology outside the Village.

Even if you feel desperate, please don’t go climbing over any walls or go into the woods. There are “wicked” people that will not like you climbing or going where you don’t belong. This Village is protected from outside technology. You’ll find that this Village seems to be under a No GPS Zone. You’ll have problems getting signals, so be forewarned and bring your GeoSenses.

The film was originally titled The Woods, but the name was changed because a film directed by Lucky McKee, The Woods, already had that title. Like other Shyamalan productions, this film had high levels of secrecy surrounding it.

This Village could never have been called the Woods as there were nothing but a farmland and open lots here in the past. There was a high level of secrecy and security presence during the early construction stages.

For this specific cache, you’ll need to venture through the arches into the wooded area. These are not Golden Arches but you will find the treasure between the arches.

As with the movie, there are guards on duty around the perimeter so PLEASE use your stealth guard while searching. If you find too many people in the area, feel free to have a seat and relax a while.
