This cache will provide some nice views at Irondequoit Bay Park East.
We got into geocaching as an extension of hiking and sightseeing and this cache is designed to get you to stretch out your legs a bit and see some nice views. If you don't like steep terrain, you may not want to do this cache.
This cache is located on the East side of Irondequoit Bay. The 2 parts of the multicache are a bit off the beaten trail. It was extremely slippery when I placed it on 2/09/08. I didn't use any special equipment when placing either part but you may find special equipment helpful. The area has some fairly steep terrain leading right to the water's edge - so please be careful.
How you get to the cache is up to you. We would strongly suggest parking at the Bay Park lot off of Empire Blvd, location N43 11.277 W77 30.672. Be advised that going past the gate is allowed, but the Penfield Public Works Department closes the gate at 4pm (possibly much earlier on the weekend) , and they don't care about your car.
So, be wary about going past the gate.
The final is a 30 caliber ammo can. A couple caches in this area have been muggled, so please take care hiding the final as good as found or better.
Unactivated travel bug dog tags for the FTF or first who wants them.
