Geocache Description:

In 1873 Cannon River Manufacturing Company built a grange mill
at Waterford. A dam and dike were built on the Cannon River to provide the water power to run the mill. The dam was about 75 feet wide and the dike continued south of the river 200-3000 yards across the low ground. The mill had a capacity of 200 barrels of flour per day. Business declined in the 1890's, the mill closed in 1896. The dam was blown out in the 1920's. Walk out the dike to the river to see the remains of the mill on the north side. The cache is nearby and is a 30 cal. ammo can. First to find gets a nice gift card.
