Geocache Description:


Lemon Lake was the first county park to be opened to the public in 1972. These are the first caches placed in this park. There are many activities in the park no matter what time of year it is. There are two 18 hole disc golf courses, an off leash dog facility (permit needed call 219-769-PARK or see website), many hiking trails both paved and primitive, and a huge playground. These caches were placed with the permission of the Lake County Parks Department. For more information on all of Lake County Parks please visit their web site at www.lakecountyparks.com Some of the caches will take you on nice journey around the lake. Others will let you explore the rest of what the park has to offer. There is a fee when the gate is being attended to. Please check the website for the current prices. The park is open at 7:00 am to ½ hour before sunset. Please be kind to the park as they were kind to us to allow us to plant these caches.
